Rainbow Six Extraction is an online and team-based tactical FPS game. This game has been developed as a spin-off of Ubisoft Montreal’s famous game Rainbow Six Siege. In Extraction, you can play with your friends in teams of three. Interestingly, the enemy this time around is not of other players. Instead, the big threat here falls to aliens called Archaeans. Although the teams that developed both Siege and Extraction are known as Ubisoft Montreal, they are actually made up of different people. The game developed by this new team was first announced way back at E3 2019. Originally named Rainbow Six Quarantine, the game will finally be released in January 2022. In this article, we will tell you everything that is known about the game. Also read: Most anticipated Nintendo Switch games in January 2022
All details about Rainbow Six Extraction
The first thing you need to know about Rainbow Six Extraction is that it has many operators and features in Siege. You can find the full list of operators below. Although there are commonalities, there is a very fundamental part where it differs from Siege. You are fighting against artificial intelligence, not PvP like in that game. Your main objective in Extraction is to collect information and samples about the alien threat. To collect this information, you must enter the regions inhabited by the Archaeans and then escape. Basically, it’s like Escape from Tarkov. Of course, since the genre of the game is listed as a tactical FPS, communication with your friends is very important. You must use your weapons and gadgets well, and act appropriately for each task. The details of these missions will change each time.
Map System
One of the interesting features of Rainbow Six Extraction is the map system it uses. Each map you enter to complete the missions is divided into three sub-regions within itself. When you finish the quest in the first zone, the second zone is unlocked. You then move on to the second zone to earn more rewards. But what you should not forget is that the regions become harder over time. Failures in the game will affect the gameplay just as much as success, so the aim of the game here is very much that of teamwork and cooperation. As we have seen from the videos and information provided so far, the enemies will be very diverse. We will have to face many dangers such as infected humans, exploding aliens, enemies that can swim and even flying aliens too.
Rainbow Six: Extraction: Confirmed Operator List
Since Extraction is a spin-off, it won’t have all the operators in Siege. However, with the launch of the game, a considerable number of operators will be ready to be played as. The full list can be found below:
