What is I Hate Christmas Season 1 about?
Gianna finds herself with no option but to lie to her family that she has a boyfriend. She is 30 and the only single person in her family. Her mother is especially worried about Gianna’s biological clock ticking and wants her to find a good man and settle down. Gianna has only 24 days before Christmas to find a suitable man to bring to the Christmas dinner. Has I Hate Christmas been renewed for season 2?
At the time of this writing, Netflix has yet to officially announce if this show will be picked for a new season. It is too early to tell and so far the show has received mixed reviews from critics and audiences. Generally, Netflix gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate. With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly (ala. Squid Game, Bridgerton & Irregulars) Other times, it can take months before Netflix make a decision over a show’s future. The show has potential for season 2 given the cliffhanger ending but it will be up to the numbers to decide the fate for this one. However, Netflix has been known to cancel even popular shows so only time will tell for this project. We’ll be sure to update this section with accurate details over the coming weeks and months when we know more!
What we know about season 2 so far:
At the moment we don’t know anything about season 2, but given the cliffhanger ending, there is a possibility to get another season to answer the big question surrounding who Gianna is going to choose. It would be interesting if, in season 2, she breaks up with her boyfriend over Christmas. Season 2 could also alternatively focus on a different single person, maybe a guy this time.
