Eve (2022) In this melodrama series, Seo Ye ji plays the role of Lee Ra-el/ Kim Sun-bin. She is the daughter of a genius scientist who was killed when she was young before her eyes as the LY group forced a company merger that destroyed her family. She plans her revenge meticulously for 13 years, designs her takeover of the business empire, and takes out the ringleader in the plot that killed her father and destroyed her family. Ra-el is an intelligent and charming woman who has mastered Art, psychology, and economics. She has the brains and the beauty to get any man she wants. She uses her charm on the weakest link to the chaebol conglomerate, his son-in-law, and uses him to cause a trillion-dollar divorce lawsuit. She is a woman baying for blood and will stop at nothing to get justice for the death of her parents.
It’s Okay to Not Be Okay (2020) Ko Moon-young is a renowned author of children’s books who is diagnosed with an antisocial personality disorder. Therefore, she comes off as extremely rude, selfish, and arrogant to those around her. She seems to have a complete disregard for other people’s concerns, feelings, or thoughts. Thus, when she gets to like someone, she becomes irrational and goes to extreme lengths to have them and get their attention. She does whatever she wants and couldn’t care less about the consequences. She is a wild character with a turbulent relationship with her parents and a troubled childhood. The children’s books she writes are her way of conveying her real feelings to the world, which makes her books very beautiful and authentic. She does not know love but coincidentally meets Moon Kang Tae played by Kim Soo Hyun who helps her understand love and finds herself in the process.
Lawless Lawyer (2018) Seo Yea-ji’s role is Ha Jae-yi, she was raised by her father after the disappearance of her mother. She is a lawyer of high integrity who becomes jobless and is disgraced after attacking a corrupt judge verbally in the courtroom due to an unjust ruling during a trial. Her lawyer license is suspended and she is forced to return to Gisung where she meets Bong Sang Pil played by Lee Joon Gi. She learns that her role model is a corrupt and greedy judge and together with Sang Pil, they become relentless in getting justice for their parents. Jae-yi never backs down when she knows she is in the right and is unable to hold back her anger, she is strong, independent, and unceasingly protects the ones she loves.
Hwarang (2016) This is a historical drama featuring Park Seo Joon and Park Hyung Sik. In this series, Seo Yea Ji brings the character of Princess Sook Myung to life. She grew up isolated and neglected by her mother which has led to her being a cold, fearless person. She is set to marry King Jinheung not out of love but for power.
Save Me (2017) In this mystery thriller, Seo Yea Ji plays the role of Im Sang Mi. After her father’s business goes bankrupt, Im Sang-mi’s family moves to Daegu from Seoul. Her twin brother commits suicide causing her mother to go crazy and his father joins a cult. The father is brainwashed by the cult and forces his family to join the cult too .Sang-mi becomes prey to the sexual conquests of a cult leader and is too afraid to tell her father that the man he reveres as holy is traumatizing her. Sang-mi tries desperately to escape the cult until four men hear her cry in an alley and they join forces to save her. They fight against a religious cult that threatens to ruin the lives of all the people around them.
Moorim School (2016) Moorim School is a supernatural romance drama and Seo Yea Ji plays the role of Shim Soon-duk. She is a confident and sweet young woman working hard at different jobs to take care of her blind father. She secretly attends Moorin Institute, a secret school that is only known to special people. The school does not focus intensively on teaching academics but on instilling the virtues of communication, faith, honesty, and sacrifice in their students.
